I started How I Make Money Blogging in early 2011, but just left the first 3 pages and my topic idea list sitting around for more than a year. Then in late May 2012, I started again and reached out for some pointers. Martin at Studenomics and Start Freelancing Now gave me the excellent advice of simply cutting and pasting any posts I already wrote about the topics I wanted to cover. As he said, it makes you feel better to at least see something on paper. I still rewrote a ton of those specific sections and added way more, but having those first pages full gave me some oomph to continue. In the end, it took 3 1/2 weeks to get HIMMB written and another week to get it edited (thanks to Nell at Housewife Empire) and published.
