BFS Newsletter #123 - Staying Focused Can Be Tough
Hi <<First Name>>!  Hope you had a productive week!  I spent most of this week catching up with everything I put aside last week.  I am even getting some things done ahead of time now.  I spent yesterday with my family and their new puppy (an adorable, 12 week old Border Collie).  Tonight through Sunday will be with friends.  I'm feeling much better about the decision to say goodbye to Miss Doxie. Looking back with less grief, she was in constant pain of some sort and hated going blind.  Hopefully she is bounding around chasing birds and squirrels like she used to in puppy heaven.  Hope you have an excellent weekend!

If you have any specific questions for me, just reply to this email and ask away!  I highlight one or two questions every week. If you wish to be anonymous, please just let me know in your email.

Olleen asked, "I’m new here and I want to make internet money, lol. I started a blog a million years ago, but only update once in a blue moon. I get distracted by my many other pursuits. So, what I’m wondering is, how did you start your blog and focus on it?  Also, I’m thinking about a move to Texas soon; what’s it like? I was thinking Austin, specifically."

I was addicted to the idea of writing for other money geeks like me, so that kept me really focused.  If blogging seems like a chore, it might not be your way of making money online.  You may want to look into freelancing at places like problogger.com.  In general, I stay focused by reminding myself of my readers.  It also helps to know that if I don't work, I don't make any money.  That's pretty motivational.

Austin is the least "Texas" city in Texas, so most out-of-staters love it the most.  I think it's pretty awesome - the most liberal, comparably affordable to other states, and great food.  The weather is a little less humid than Houston, but it is still hot as balls in the summer...that's just Texas...

Thanks for being the best readers ever!
