BFS Newsletter #69 - I'm Listening, I Promise
Hi <<First Name>>!  Every month, a few dozen of you all sign up for the giveaway with a question you'd like answered here in the newsletters.  Over the past two weeks, a few of you have asked for the same thing - more pictures of my new house now that I am living in it.  I assure you that it definitely is not as pretty now that we actually have moved in, but I do listen.  I'll do a post next week on BFS about settling in and include more pictures.  If there is a specific room or area that you want to see, just email me back.  I'll also answer a couple of questions today in the Ask Crystal section since they are piling up.  :-)

Win the Monthly Prize!

Just to say thanks for being part of the BFS community, I give away an Amazon gift card or Paypal cash AND a free copy of How I Make Money Blogging to one lucky BFS Newsletter Subscriber every month.  To enter this month's, please jump over to this post and leave a comment- only one comment per person please! A winner will be chosen and notified at the beginning of next month.

Ask Crystal

If you have any specific questions for me, just reply to this email and ask away!  I highlight one or two questions every week. If you wish to be anonymous, please just let me know in your email.

Jan asked, "Why are you selling your sites?  It seems that you get some money out of them.  Isn’t it worth the effort anymore?"

I need more time.  How I Make Money Blogging was a great idea that I just don't have the time to grow.  Same thing with Dining Out Challenge - we bought it and just ran out of oomph.  As for the six static sites about insurances and taxes, I just never got around to really finishing them, so I figured if I took all of these little things off of my shoulders, I can grow BFS faster and concentrate on the co-owned sites that are more personal finance related.  So in case anybody was wondering, I am 100% still around and blogging.  I just want to concentrate on BFS and other projects more right now.

Kim asked, "I was wondering what makes people hire someone to control advertising? Is it that they don’t want to fool with it or do you get more money for them, and do you bring ads to them or just reply to inquiries received?"

We reply to inquiries and run group campaigns, so we cover both sides there.  As for why others hire us, it seems to be a combination of things - they rather not deal with it, they want someone else to do the negotiating, they need more exposure, and/or we ask for and receive higher rates than they do.  The happiest clients seem to be the ones that feel two or three of those things so we are like life savers for introverts or busy bloggers, lol.

Thanks for being the best readers ever!

P.S.  My actual website, How I Make Money Blogging, is still for sale as well as 6 static insurance and tax sites.  So is my co-owned site, Dining Out Challenge.  Please email me if you are interested!
