Hi <<First Name>>! So August was busier than expected, but we actually did not make as much as that sort of busy would usually mean. It was a weird month. I am hoping that means that everyone is just waiting until September to really look into big advertising campaigns for blogs.
In other news, our trip was awesome! It was nice to get away, but I missed all of this way more than I should have, lol. It's good to be back. I'll write up a complete vacation breakdown post within the next few weeks.

A slower summer than I would have liked, so a solid September would be great!
The rest of our income comes from
renting out our old house, renting out a
spare bedroom, and hubby's hobby jobs. He works from home with me, but he is also a high school varsity football official from August through December (if they are lucky and get playoff games) and a softball official from February through early May. Right now, that extra income is around $2500 a month.
We need about $7250 a month just for taxes ($2500 minimum a month), bills, and our monthly extras. The rest is divided between savings, investments, and fun. You can check out our
our budget anytime.
DISCLAIMER: Please keep in mind that this income comes from 80+ hour work weeks divided between me and Mr. BFS and we do end up paying about 32% in income taxes since we do have to cover the employer's part as well. I also was working 100+ hours a week personally for over a year before I was able to leave my day job and do this full time. I just wanted to be clear that this isn't easy money in any respect. I want to inspire everyone to accomplish their dreams, no matter what it takes. I am not saying it will be simple or fast. It just can be done.
Thanks for being the best readers ever!
